GIS Engineer (1–2 Years Experience) About TalkingLands

TalkingLands is a geospatial intelligence platform that delivers innovative GIS solutions for land due diligence, infrastructure planning, environmental compliance, and urban development. Key Responsibilities

Create, edit, and maintain GIS datasets.

Process raster and vector data.

Automate GIS workflows using Python.

Manage PostGIS databases and perform spatial analysis.

Build vector tile pipelines and integrate GIS with web applications.

Ensure data quality, documentation, and OGC compliance.

Collaborate with development teams on geospatial solutions.

Required Skills

GIS: QGIS (Mandatory), ArcGIS Pro (Preferred)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field.

1–2 years of GIS experience.

Knowledge of spatial data, geospatial analysis, and large GIS datasets.

Preferred Experience

Urban planning, land use, environmental data, transportation networks, cadastral maps, OpenStreetMap, or remote sensing.
