Role Description The GCP Data Engineer role at Infiligence Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Data

Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring reliable ingestion, transformation, and storage of data from multiple sources. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing ETL processes, developing and optimizing data models, and managing data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and application teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

The engineer will also monitor data workflows, troubleshoot performance issues,



and apply best practices in security, reliability, and cost optimization within the GCP environment.

Qualifications

Solid data engineering skills, including experience with building and maintaining data pipelines, batch and real-time processing, and integration of diverse data sources.

Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing, with the ability to design scalable schemas and optimize storage and query performance.

Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including designing transformations, managing workflows, and ensuring data quality.

Experience in data analytics, including supporting BI tools, creating datasets for reporting, and collaborating with analytics teams to meet business needs.

Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and related data tools.

Robust skills in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python or Java).

Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
