Garment Merchandiser

Job Summary The Garment Merchandiser is responsible for managing buyer relationships, coordinating with factories, and ensuring smooth execution of orders from development to final delivery. The role involves overseeing production, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely shipments while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities.

1. Act as the primary point of contact for buyers and ensure transparent, timely, and professional communication throughout the order lifecycle.
2. Gather and communicate all order details, specifications, and buyer requirements to internal teams.
3. Coordinate order confirmation and execution with factories while ensuring adherence to Time and Action (TNA) plans in alignment with the PPC Head.
4. Manage the end-to-end order execution process from sampling to final shipment, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
5. Monitor factory communication and proactively address delays to ensure timely delivery.
6. Finalize order pricing with factories and obtain necessary approvals from the marketing team while ensuring profitability.
7. Prepare accurate product costings and support order finalization by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
8. Track and follow up on Letter of Credit (LC) issuance for fabrics and trims to ensure smooth financial transactions.

Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories as per production schedules.
10. Oversee sourcing and timely dispatch of trims and ensure availability of all materials as per production schedules.
11. Monitor production stages including pre-production samples, approvals, bulk production, and quality inspections.
12. Ensure adherence to quality standards and buyer specifications throughout production.
13. Maintain live and accurate ERP updates for orders, production status, inventory, and dispatch details.
14. Reconcile factory invoices with approved costs and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.

Additional Responsibilities 1 Coordinate with merchandising, planning, production, quality, and logistics teams for smooth operations.

2 Identify risks in production or supply chain and implement corrective actions proactively.

3 Maintain accurate documentation of orders, approvals, and communications.

4 Provide regular updates and reports to management on order and production status.

5 Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and industry standards.

6 Support logistics coordination for timely shipment and delivery.
