, focuses on investments in the SME segment and Distressed / Special Situations assets

ROLE OVERVIEW The Associate /Analyst will play a critical role in the investment process of the Fund. The position requires robust analytical capability, intellectual curiosity and the ability to work with a high degree of ownership in a lean team. The individual will support deal origination, rigorous due diligence, investment thesis development and ongoing portfolio monitoring across SME and special situations opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investment Research & Sourcing –
Identify, screen and evaluate potential investment opportunities in the SME and distressed / special situations landscape.
- Financial Analysis & Modelling –
Build robust financial models, conduct valuation analysis (DCF, trading & transaction multiples, asset-based approaches) and stress-test assumptions.
- Investment Memoranda –
Prepare high-quality investment papers and presentations for internal discussion and Investment Committee consideration.
- Due Diligence –
Support comprehensive financial, commercial and operational due diligence on target companies; coordinate with external advisors where required.
- Portfolio Monitoring –
Track performance of investee companies against investment thesis and agreed milestones; prepare periodic portfolio reviews and risk assessments.
- Market & Sector Intelligence –
Maintain ongoing coverage of relevant sectors, macroeconomic developments and regulatory changes that impact the Fund’s strategy.
- Compliance & Documentation –
Assist in preparation of investor reports, regulatory filings and maintain accurate investment records in line with SEBI AIF regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Chartered Accountant, CFA, or MBA (Finance) from a leading institution.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in private equity, alternative investments, credit / special situations, ARCs, investment banking or equity research.
- Strong command over financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies and advanced Excel modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to structure clear, concise and well-reasoned written investment recommendations.
- Familiarity with the Indian SME ecosystem, stressed assets resolution framework (including IBC) or private credit is a distinct advantage.
- High level of intellectual honesty, attention to detail and comfort operating in a small, high-performance team.
