We are hiring a Full Stack Developer for our HRTech product team. The role involves building and enhancing core HRMS and Payroll product features, working closely with the Product Head, and taking ownership of development from requirement understanding to release.
This position requires strong technical ability along with practical understanding of HRMS and payroll workflows. The candidate should be comfortable working on both backend and frontend, and should be able to use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve speed and quality.
Reporting
This role reports directly to the Product Head.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and release HRMS and Payroll product features.
- Work closely with the Product Head to understand requirements, workflows, and release priorities.
- Build frontend screens, backend APIs, database changes, validations, workflows, and reports.
- Work on modules such as employee management, attendance, leave, payroll, reimbursements, performance management, approvals, reports, and admin console.
- Ensure smooth data flow across modules, especially employee, attendance, leave, payroll and reimbursement.
- Debug functional and technical issues across the application.
- Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code.
- Coordinate with QA for test scenarios, bug fixes, regression testing, and release closure.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot responsibly to improve productivity.
Required Skills :
- Robust hands-on experience in full stack development.
- Backend experience in Java / Spring Boot.
- Frontend experience in React / TypeScript.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, authentication, and application architecture.
- Practical knowledge of HRMS and Payroll workflows.
- Ability to understand business rules and convert them into working software.
- Experience working with AI-assisted coding tools is preferred.
- Strong debugging, ownership, and communication skills.
Functional Knowledge Expected :
- Employee master and employee lifecycle.
- Attendance, shifts, punches, overtime, and regularization.
- Leave policies, balances, encashment, and approvals.
- Payroll processing, salary structure, earnings, deductions, payslips, and statutory inputs.
- Reimbursements and finance approval workflows.
- HR reports, payroll reports, and compliance reports.
Preferred Background :
- Experience in HRMS, Payroll, HCM, ERP, Finance, or Workforce Management products.
- Knowledge of Indian payroll is highly preferred.
- Experience in SaaS product development will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with product and QA teams.
Experience :
4 to 5 years preferred.
