About the Role :

We're looking for a Frontend Electron Developer with 4 - 6 years of experience to own the end-to-end development of Lucio's desktop applications. In this role, you'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of Electron-based applicationsfrom architecture and development to testing, packaging, deployment, maintenance, and continuous optimization. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and QA to build secure, scalable, and production-ready desktop applications.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, making technical decisions, and independently driving features from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Electron-based desktop applications.
- Build scalable and maintainable frontend architecture using React and TypeScript.
- Own features from requirement gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Implement robust state management using Redux, Zustand, MobX, or similar frameworks.
- Integrate desktop applications with local file systems, background processes, IPC communication, and native OS capabilities.
- Develop secure integrations with backend APIs, authentication systems, and data services.




- Manage desktop application packaging, code signing, auto-updates, and release processes using Electron Builder, Electron Forge, or similar tools.
- Optimize application performance, startup time, responsiveness, and memory usage.
- Troubleshoot production issues, resolve bugs, and improve application stability.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Contribute to technical architecture, engineering documentation, and development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements :

Mandatory Skills :

- 4 - 6 years of frontend software development experience.
- Strong experience with React.
- Hands-on experience building production applications using Electron.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, MobX, or equivalent.
- Experience with desktop application packaging and distribution (Electron Builder, Electron Forge, code signing, auto-update mechanisms, and release management).
- Experience working with local file systems, file watchers, background processes, IPC communication, native operating system integrations.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and authentication workflows.
- Strong understanding of Git and contemporary frontend development workflows.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Next.js.
- Desktop application performance optimization.
- Offline-first application architecture.
- Local storage and synchronization strategies.
- CI/CD pipelines for desktop application deployment.
- Basic backend or API development knowledge.
