Consultant General Ophthalmologist (OPD)

Qualification

- MS Ophthalmology
- DNB Ophthalmology

Registration

- Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

- Experienced candidates preferred
- Candidates should be capable of independently managing comprehensive Ophthalmology OPD services

---

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive Eye OPD consultations
- Diagnose and manage cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors, dry eye, conjunctival disorders, and other common ophthalmic conditions
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations including slit-lamp evaluation, refraction, fundoscopy, and tonometry
- Interpret diagnostic investigations such as OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Photography, and B-Scan as required
- Manage ophthalmic emergencies and provide appropriate referrals when necessary
- Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and preventive eye care




- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Coordinate with Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, and Oculoplasty specialists for multidisciplinary patient care

- Ability to work independently in a high-volume OPD setup
