Role Description The Freight Forwarding – Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for driving sales and business development in freight forwarding services, including identifying new customers, nurturing existing client relationships, and negotiating competitive logistics solutions.
Day-to-day activities include preparing and presenting proposals, coordinating with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution, and monitoring market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
The Sales
Manager will manage a portfolio of export and freight transportation accounts, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and provide regular reporting on sales performance and pipeline opportunities. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize pricing, service offerings, and process efficiency is a key part of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and freight transportation, with experience in end-to-end logistics solutions.
- Experience in forwarding and export processes, including documentation, compliance,
and coordination with carriers and agents.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and handle escalations professionally.
- Demonstrated sales and business development experience in logistics or related sectors, including lead generation and closing deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and local languages as needed.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with comfort using CRM and basic MS Office tools for reporting and planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
