I'm hiring a founding engineer at Patenova. We're building the AI intelligence layer for patent decisions — an engine that analyzes patents at scale to assess their strength and value, and surfaces the reasoning behind every call. Companies make high-stakes decisions about their patents constantly, often without the data to make them well.

We're changing that. I'm looking for a founding ML/AI engineer to build on top of the core engine from the ground up. You'd own the hardest, most compelling part of the product: turning dense, deliberately-complex patent language into structured, explainable signals.

What I'm looking for:

Strong NLP / LLM skills, ideally on long, complex documents

Experience building scoring, ranking,



or classification models — with a focus on explainability

Comfort with large-scale data pipelines

Someone who wants real ownership in an early-stage company You don't need patent experience — curiosity about a hard, underexplored problem matters more. And I'm genuinely open to exceptional early-career people from top universities: raw talent and drive over years on a résumé. The details:
