I'm looking for a founder's office intern to work with me. (That title gets used to mean almost anything, so let me try and be a wee bit specific about what it means here.) Roughly half the job is content (that converts). You'd own some part of the writing and much of the social across three things that have very little in common.
HR+ is where we work with business leaders on pressing people problems that involve leadership, culture and the future of work.
The Little Stories Company is books, animals and beautiful things.
And I can also do with some help on @waywordideas is my Bookstagram, which is just books, stories and why any of it matters. The other half is harder to put in a considering the speed and uncertainty that a boutique consultancy operates with. Chasing down research and turning a half-formed idea into something I can look at in terms of first drafts will be key.
You'd see the unglamorous middle of building something, which is the part nobody posts about and you'll be allowed to fail too. If that sounds vague, here's roughly what a month could look like in practice. About eight to ten pieces of content going out across the three accounts, mostly drafted by you and me together, edited in line with my feedback and finally published by me.
A calendar that exists two weeks ahead instead of being assembled in a panic on Sunday night (or generated by ChatGPT). One short note each month with three things you think we should try and one thing you think isn't working. Research briefs when a topic comes up, and I mean a page, not a deck.
Contributing to client deliverables as and when they are due (I'll help you come up the curve on this) That's the floor, not the ceiling. The interesting parts of this job won't be on that list, and I'd rather you spent your time finding them. The bit I care about most, though, is that you argue with me.
Tell me when something I'm excited about is a bad idea. That isn't a nice-to-have I've put in to sound approachable. It's a real part of the job, and the interns who do it are the ones I end up relying on.
I'm not looking for you to work with hacks and shortcuts but to collaborate on meaningful work that we can both be proud of.
The practical bits: fully remote, no fixed hours, not a full-time role, you bring your laptop and have a decent internet connection. Work whenever it suits you, as long as things keep moving. If you're in Delhi NCR, a coffee every now and then would be nice to build better alignment, but I'm not going to make it a condition.
Some of the work touches client material, so there's an NDA, and I'll be clear about what's yours to share in your portfolio and what isn't. If you're interested, send me your portfolio. Writing, video, social, design, whatever shows me how you think.
A few lines on why this one caught your eye. And what you'd like to be paid, hourly or monthly.
Experience matters far less to me here than potential, but helps - especially on the content side. If you've made something engaging and nobody ever saw it, send it anyway. I'd still like to see it. Basically, if you think this kind of work is about starting conversations rather than chasing an algorithm, we should talk.
