About the Flag Foundation of India The Flag Foundation of India (FFOI)

is a non-profit organisation with the vision of fostering patriotism, national pride, and civic responsibility through the promotion of the Indian National Flag. Established in 2002 (registered as a society in 2003).

Over the years, FFOI has evolved into a national movement dedicated to strengthening citizens' emotional connection with the Tiranga. The Foundation works closely with government bodies, educational institutions, the armed forces, corporates, and civil society to promote respect for the National Flag and the constitutional values it represents.

Key focus areas include

∙ Installation of monumental National Flags across India.

∙ Public awareness and outreach programmes promoting respect for the Tiranga. ∙ Youth engagement initiatives that encourage patriotism and active citizenship. ∙ Partnerships with government and institutional stakeholders to advance national awareness. ∙ Preservation and promotion of the history, significance, and dignity of the Indian National Flag.

Role Overview:

The role will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of the Flag Foundation of India. The role requires a energetic leader who can work closely with the President of FFOI to expand the Foundation's national footprint, strengthen stakeholder partnerships, drive public engagement initiatives, and lead programmes that promote respect and pride for the Indian National Flag.

This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, government engagement, programme management, public relations, and execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

∙ Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, Flag Foundation of India,



on initiatives related to the Indian National Flag and the Foundation's long-term vision.

∙ Develop and execute national strategies to enhance public awareness, respect, and engagement with the Tiranga.

∙ Lead the planning & execution of monumental National Flag installations across the country.

∙ Conceptualise and organise national-level events, campaigns, and commemorative programmes centred around the National Flag.

∙ Build and strengthen relationships with government ministries, armed forces, educational institutions, corporates, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.

∙ Identify innovative opportunities related to the manufacturing, installation, preservation, and promotion of the National Flag.

∙ Recommend policy initiatives and collaborate with relevant government authorities to further strengthen public engagement with the Tiranga.

∙ Drive digital and social media strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and outreach across diverse audiences.

∙ Oversee programme planning, operational execution, procurement, logistics, and administrative requirements of the Foundation.

∙ Monitor programme outcomes, measure impact, and ensure effective governance, compliance, and resource utilisation.

∙ Represent the Foundation at national forums, conferences, government interactions, and public events.

Preferred Profile:

∙ Former Indian Armed Forces officers, preferably at the rank of Colonel, Brigadier, or Major General.

∙ Strong network and experience working with Government ministries, defence establishments, public institutions, and senior stakeholders.

∙ Proven leadership experience in driving strategic initiatives, public engagement, and programme execution.

∙ Passion for nation-building and promoting the values represented by the Indian National Flag.
