Role Description The Firmware Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for defence-grade systems and munition products, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance. This full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai involves implementing and optimizing code for ARM-based microcontrollers, integrating firmware with embedded hardware, and supporting system-level testing. Day-to-day tasks include debugging and troubleshooting firmware issues, collaborating with electrical and software teams on system architecture,



and documenting designs and test procedures.

The role also involves participating in design reviews, contributing to continuous improvement of development processes, and supporting verification and validation activities for field and lab trials.

Qualifications

Strong embedded software and firmware development skills, including experience with C/C++ and real-time systems.

Hands-on experience with ARM architecture, microcontroller-based systems, and low-level hardware interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).

Proficiency in debugging embedded systems, using tools such as JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering concepts relevant to embedded hardware, including schematics and PCB-level integration.

Experience in complete software development lifecycle, version control (e.g., Git), and build/CI tools for embedded projects.

Familiarity with safety-critical or defence/aerospace standards and robust coding practices is an advantage.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Ability to work in office in Mumbai, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
