Field Capability Manager

Role Purpose

The Field Capability Manager is strategically responsible for the end-to-end design, execution, governance, and technology integration of capability-building frameworks that deliver a high-performing, scientifically credible OCC and Field Trainer force.

Moving beyond theoretical training, you lead a team of active coaching practitioners to bridge the gap between classroom science and real-world clinic execution. The primary mission is to scale commercial capability, institutionalize cutting-edge AI training technologies, and drive evidence-based scientific detailing that directly influences dental professional recommendation and accelerates prescription velocity.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Training Needs

Identification (TNI) Diagnostic Leadership

- Data-Driven Diagnostics: Lead organizational Training Need Identification (TNI) cycles by combining quantitative metrics (SFA, CRM data, analytics) with qualitative inputs from field trainer inputs.

- Competency Mapping: Continually evaluate macro-level competency gaps across zones, product categories, and experience tiers to map out targeted annual and quarterly capability enhancement calendars.

- Performance Turnaround Plans: Oversee structured remediation plans for underperforming field force representatives, utilizing TNI insights to design customized 30-day development blueprints.

Instructional Architecture Training Content

Development

- Curriculum Development Strategy: Design and own the structural training layout, ensuring all educational materials align with adult learning principles, interactive learning, and micro-learning methodologies.

- Scientific Copy Synthesis: Partner closely with Scientific Affairs and Marketing to translate complex clinical data, scientific papers,



and product chemistry into simplified, field-ready sales narratives and interactive roleplay scripts.

- Digital Playbook Assets: Oversee the continuous formulation of product ready-reckoners, visual aids, and interactive digital content optimized for mobile or tablet-based continuous learning.

Comprehensive Onboarding Induction

Governance

- Onboarding Framework Design: Structure, govern, and continuously optimize the centralized 30-60-90 day Onboarding journey for current recruits to accelerate time-to-productivity and mitigate early-stage attrition.

- Induction Bootcamp Management: Own the deployment and instruction of induction bootcamps, covering dental anatomy, oral pathologies, product portfolios, compliance codes, and core detailing techniques.

- Proficiency Gates Evaluations: Establish rigorous gatekeeping milestones and certification checks at the 30, 60, and 90-day marks to strictly validate field readiness before final territory handover.

4. Train the Trainer (TTT) Certification Field Governance

- Trainer Capability Upskilling: Architect and execute continuous Train the Trainer (TTT) certification modules to constantly elevate the instructional and coaching mastery of direct reports (Field Trainers).

- Methodology Standardization: Institutionalize standardized coaching frameworks (such as the GROW model), active feedback loops,



and advanced group facilitation benchmarks across the distributed training network.

- Calibration Audits: Periodically conduct joint field-rides with trainers to audit coaching quality, calibrate assessment scores, and ensure TtT principles are translating into effective market development.

5. AI Adoption for Training Effectiveness

- Next-Gen EdTech Integration: Champion the deployment and ongoing adoption of AI-driven tools to scale training effectiveness

- Predictive Capability Analytics: Leverage metrics to evaluate verbal delivery, confidence levels, message adherence, and scientific precision, using data-driven indicators to tune national training strategies.

- Gamification Engagement: Oversee AI-backed personalized learning pathways and gamified reinforcement systems to boost long-term knowledge retention and field force engagement

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience Qualifications

- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, B.Pharma, BDS, or related specializations. An advanced qualification, diploma, or certification in Training Development, Instructional Design, or Talent Management/ MBA is highly preferred.

- Professional Experience: 10+ years of total experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Specialty Oral Care sales. This must include a minimum of 3 years of exposure towards training or capability department, with a proven track record of managing a distributed team of field trainers or first-line sales managers.
