Position Overview

The RISE (Research Innovation Sustainability Engine) Center of Excellence at Guru Nanak Dev Global University invites applications for a faculty position in Sustainability Studies at the graduate level. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum innovation, and engage in interdisciplinary initiatives aligned with global sustainability frameworks and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Responsibilities

- Teach graduate-level courses in Sustainability Studies and related interdisciplinary areas.
- Integrate global perspectives on sustainable development into curriculum design and classroom instruction.
- Develop and regularly update course content to align with UNESCO frameworks and all 17 SDGs.
- Mentor graduate students and support academic, research, and outreach activities of the RISE Center.
- Participate in institutional seminars, workshops, team-oriented projects, and community engagement initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

- Postgraduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of UNESCO initiatives and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).




- Candidates should have a minimum of 2+ years of academic teaching experience at the graduate level.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated pedagogical expertise, and experience in curriculum development.
- Candidates from anywhere in India are welcome to apply; however, the selected candidate must be physically available to work at Punjab/Mohali.
