Summary:

A General Ledger (GL) Manager oversees the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of an organization's financial records. They supervise accounting teams, lead month-end close processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP), and manage account reconciliations, audits, and internal controls.

Key Skills:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in RTR - General Ledger accounting.
- At Least 3 years of Team Handling Experience
- Hands-on experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Account Reconciliations.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries, Accruals, and Provisions.
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Variance Analysis.
- Any Graduate

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee end-to-end General Ledger (GL) operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Chart of Accounts (CoA).




- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Monitor, investigate, and explicit aged reconciling items and account discrepancies.
- Implement and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and validate financial statements and management reports.
- Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the trial balance.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
- Respond to audit queries and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Support SOX compliance and internal control framework requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities within GL operations.
- Drive efficiency initiatives through ERP systems and reconciliation tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
- Lead and mentor the General Ledger team.
- Allocate work effectively and establish robust review and quality control mechanisms.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, SLAs, and key operational KPIs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice adoption across finance operations.
