About Us

EMIN Electrical Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is seeking experienced and motivated Testing & Commissioning / Relay Engineers to join our growing team. The selected candidates will be responsible for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of protection systems, control panels, and substation equipment for EHV/HV/MV substations and industrial power systems.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with numerical relays, protection schemes, secondary injection testing, and commissioning activities in substations and power projects.

Key Responsibilities - Protection Relay Testing & Commissioning

- Perform testing and commissioning of protection relays and control systems.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot numerical relays.
- Verify relay settings and protection coordination as per approved drawings and settings.
- Conduct secondary injection testing using relay test kits.
- Perform relay logic verification and functional testing.

Substation Commissioning Activities

- Commission EHV/HV/MV substations and associated equipment.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks for:
- CTs and PTs
- Circuit Breakers
- Isolators
- Transformers
- Control & Relay Panels
- Protection Systems
- Execute SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) and commissioning procedures.

Testing Activities

- Conduct:
- CT Polarity Tests
- PT Ratio Tests
- Circuit Breaker Timing Tests
- Transformer Protection Tests
- Differential Protection Tests
- Distance Protection Tests




- Overcurrent & Earth Fault Protection Tests
- Prepare testing reports and commissioning records.

Safety Compliance (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site safety regulations.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Testing Equipment

Experience in using:

- Omicron CMC Series
- Megger SMRT Series
- FREJA Test Kits
- Secondary Injection Test Sets
- Primary Injection Test Equipment

Protection Schemes

Knowledge of:

- Differential Protection
- Distance Protection
- Transformer Protection
- Busbar Protection
- Feeder Protection
- Overcurrent Protection
- Earth Fault Protection
- Restricted Earth Fault (REF)
- Breaker Failure Protection

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Certifications

- Substation Testing & Commissioning Certification
- Electrical Supervisor License (Preferred)
- Safety Certifications

Candidate should have

- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently at project sites.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Ability to work under project deadlines.
