Role Overview :

The Associate BOSS Platform Engineer is an entry-level individual contributor who supports day-to-day operation, monitoring, and basic configuration of the Century Platform. Under close supervision, they execute defined tasks across the platform's infrastructure, microservices, and data layers, developing hands-on familiarity with the 7-layer BOSS stack and platform standards.

Responsible for operating, managing, developing, and governing the Century Platform BOSS (Business and Operation Support System) Architecture. The platform is a cloud-native, AI-first, 7-layer microservices stack aligned to industry-standard open API specifications and event-driven process frameworks, serving Communication Service Providers at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor platform health dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty) and escalate alerts to senior engineers.
- Execute routine operational tasks including Kubernetes pod restarts, deployment rollouts via ArgoCD, and log analysis via Elasticsearch/Grafana Loki.
- Assist with Kafka topic monitoring, consumer lag investigation, and DLQ (dead letter queue) review and reprocessing.
- Support L4 microservice teams by running API tests, validating Open API responses, and logging defects.
- Assist with configuration updates to Helm charts under supervision,



following GitOps procedures.
- Participate in incident response as a support resource - collecting logs, running health checks, and documenting timelines.
- Maintain and update runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Support data quality checks on PostgreSQL operational databases and Redis cache validation.
- Complete platform process framework and data model onboarding training within the first 90 days.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in a technical operations, software engineering, or systems administration role.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and JSON data structures.
- Familiarity with Linux command line, basic shell scripting, and Git version control.
- Ability to read and interpret application logs and basic monitoring dashboards.
- Solid written communication skills for documentation and incident reports.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to Kubernetes or containerised application environments (coursework or personal projects accepted).
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications concepts (CDR, SLA, provisioning workflows).
- Familiarity with any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Cloud platform certification in progress (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent).
