Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer with 3–15 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable ETL solutions. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in ETL tools, SQL, data warehousing concepts, and database technologies. The role involves building reliable data integration pipelines, optimizing ETL processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ETL workflows for enterprise data integration projects.
- Develop batch and real-time data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical ETL solutions.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across data pipelines.
- Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from various databases and file formats.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, BI Developers, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
- Support data warehouse development, dimensional modeling, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and data flows.
- Implement best practices for ETL development, performance tuning, and error handling.
- Contribute to migration, modernization, and cloud-based data integration initiatives (where applicable).
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance for complex ETL implementations (Senior Roles).
Required Skills
- Strong experience with one or more ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC), Talend, SSIS, DataStage, ODI, Pentaho, Matillion, or Ab Initio.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in query optimization.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2, or Teradata.
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts , ETL architecture, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience in developing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or Cron.
- Experience in performance tuning and ETL optimization.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Understanding of data quality, data governance, and metadata management.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Knowledge of Python, PySpark, or Spark for data processing.
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, or Databricks .
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git .
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
