Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Estimator with 5 years of experience in industrial estimation and tendering.

In this role, you will be responsible for estimating industrial projects while working closely with our AI platform. You will prepare and validate estimates, review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, and collaborate with our Product and AI teams to improve the platform using your domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare estimates for piping and structural steel packages based on tender documents, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs and validate material quantities, scope, and estimation outputs.
- Review AI-generated estimates and quantity take-offs, ensuring they align with engineering standards and project requirements.
- Identify discrepancies, missing scope, and estimation risks, and provide feedback to improve AI accuracy.




- Work closely with the Product and AI teams to incorporate industry best practices into the estimation platform.
- Review BOQs, P&IDs;, isometric drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication drawings to support accurate estimation.
- Assist in testing current AI features and provide continuous feedback to enhance the product.
- Maintain estimation standards and contribute to improving estimation workflows.

Qualifications

- 5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, tendering, or proposal engineering with a focus on Piping and Structural Steel.
- Strong understanding of BOQs, quantity take-offs, engineering drawings, P&IDs;, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Hands-on experience with EPC, industrial, process plant, power, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and validate technical information.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using digital estimation or quantity take-off software.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or digital engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards.
- Experience working in EPC, industrial construction, or engineering consulting organisations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and software development teams.
