Role & responsibilities
- Lead and support office ergonomics assessment activities across various locations.
- Conduct workstation evaluations and identify ergonomic risk factors associated with computer-based work.
- Recommend practical and cost-effective ergonomic solutions to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
- Provide ergonomic coaching and guidance to employees, supervisors, and management teams.
- Support the development and implementation of office ergonomics programs, standards, and best practices.
- Analyze ergonomics-related trends, employee concerns, and workplace injury data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports with transparent findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with Occupational Health, Safety, Human Resources, and business teams to address employee ergonomic concerns.
- Assist in evaluating local ergonomic resources, vendors, and solutions when internal resources are unavailable.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on ergonomic principles, workstation setup, and healthy work practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Preferred candidate profile
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in:
- Human Factors Engineering
- Ergonomics
- Occupational Health
- Industrial Engineering
- Kinesiology
- Physical Therapy, or related discipline
Professional Certifications Candidates should possess one or more nationally recognized certifications with significant ergonomic components, such as:
- Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Other equivalent ergonomics-related certifications
Experience
- 4 to 10 years of professional experience in ergonomics, occupational health, workplace safety, or a related field.
