An institutional equities division is hiring an Equity Research Analyst to cover Indian Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.

Key responsibilities

- Track and analyse listed chemicals and pharma companies

- Conduct detailed fundamental research including financial statement analysis, business and industry assessment and company valuations

- Build and maintain integrated financial models, earnings forecasts and valuation models

- Publish initiation reports, result updates, sector reports, thematic reports and company notes

- Generate timely recommendations on earnings, industry developments and company events

- Monitor regulatory developments, raw material trends, industry dynamics and macro factors

- Interact with company management, industry experts,



distributors and stakeholders to validate ideas

- Present recommendations to institutional sales and domestic institutional clients

- Support institutional sales through client queries, meetings, roadshows and investor conferences

Candidate profile: 3-7 years of equity research covering chemicals and / or pharmaceuticals, with prior institutional equity research experience at a brokerage or financial services firm covering domestic institutional clients. Able to independently initiate coverage and generate ideas. Excellent written and verbal communication.
