Role Overview The SDM/EA is the single point of accountability for the offshore squad and the primary interface between Urbis T&D; leadership and the GDD team. This person owns service delivery quality, SLA adherence, and architecture governance across the T&D; application portfolio. They must be credible enough to lead complex technical conversations with the Urbis Enterprise Architect and senior stakeholders, while also being operationally hands-on in managing the squad day to day.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary relationship owner between Urbis T&D; leadership and the offshore squad — the face of the engagement onshore

Own end-to-end service delivery across the squad including SLA adherence, incident escalation, backlog prioritisation, and quality of outcomes

Provide architecture governance across the T&D; portfolio: uPlan, uKnow, uLakehouse, uLakehouseStudio, and supporting application estate

Chair the Architecture Review Committee (ARC) process in collaboration with Urbis stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Urbis EA standards

Drive remediation of the DevOps maturity gaps identified in the pipeline review — particularly around IaC source of truth, secrets management, deployment governance, and environment consistency across streams

Lead the consolidation of fragmented deployment practices across uKnow and uLakehouse into governed, repeatable CI/CD patterns





Own and evolve the application rationalisation agenda across the broad Urbis technology landscape, identifying opportunities to simplify or retire systems

Coordinate sprint planning, demand management, and resource allocation across the squad — balancing BAU, enhancements, and strategic work

Produce regular service reporting on SLA metrics, delivery risks, and continuous improvement initiatives for Urbis T&D; leadership

Lead knowledge transfer and onboarding for recent squad members, and support Urbis in shaping the forward digital roadmap Key Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in a senior delivery leadership role within a managed services or technology consulting context

Strong Azure platform knowledge spanning App Service, Container Apps, OpenAI, Cosmos DB, Synapse, DevOps, Bicep/IaC — able to review and challenge architecture decisions

Experience managing blended onshore/offshore squads across multiple concurrent workstreams

Demonstrated ability to drive DevOps maturity uplift — CI/CD governance, IaC standardisation, environment management, secrets hygiene

Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management skills — comfortable at executive level with both technical and non-technical audiences

Familiarity with ITSM tooling (ManageEngine, ServiceNow, or equivalent) and formal SLA governance frameworks

Prior experience with Australian clients in professional services, consulting, or planning sectors is highly desirable
