Roles and Responsibilities - IE VSM

- Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for end-to-end process flow
- Design and optimize plant/layout for smooth material and process flow
- Analyze cycle time at each station and identify bottlenecks
- Perform time study and establish standard cycle times
- Calculate line capacity based on cycle time and demand
- Prepare capacity planning for machines, manpower, and shifts
- Balance line to improve throughput and reduce idle time
- Identify non-value-added activities and eliminate waste (Lean)
- Optimize WIP levels and improve line flow efficiency
- Support production ramp-up and line expansion planning
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for layout and process changes
- Use tools like Yamazumi, takt time, and line balancing techniques
- Improve space utilization and reduce material movement
- Monitor actual vs planned capacity and take corrective actions
- Maintain VSM, layout drawings, and capacity planning documents
