Key Responsibilities:

- Review and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for ED facility services.
- Ensure coding compliance with federal regulations, payer policies, and industry standards.
- Analyze medical records to identify appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation.
- Ensure proper charge capture and claim submission for timely reimbursements.
- Conduct quality audits to maintain accuracy and minimize claim denials.
- Stay updated with coding guidelines, industry changes, and regulatory updates.
- Utilize EHR systems and coding software for effective workflow management.

Requirements:

- Certification: CPC, CCS, or equivalent (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and ED coding guidelines.
- Experience with hospital billing processes and payer-specific policies.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and coding tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
