Role Description The Embedded Hardware Engineer will design, develop, and test hardware for EV charging systems, with a focus on reliability, safety, and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating schematics and PCB layouts, selecting components, and working closely with embedded software engineers to ensure seamless hardware–firmware integration. The role involves building and validating prototypes, performing hardware debugging, conducting functional and environmental tests, and documenting designs and test results.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product improvements, resolve field issues,



and optimize hardware for manufacturing and cost efficiency. This is a full time, in office role based in Trivandrum.

Qualifications

Proficiency in embedded hardware design, including schematic creation and PCB layout for microcontroller-based systems.

Experience with electronics components and circuits, such as power supplies, sensors, communication interfaces, and protection circuits.

Ability to use hardware design and analysis tools (e.g., EDA tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) for development and debugging.

Knowledge of embedded systems integration, collaborating effectively with firmware engineers on hardware–software interfaces.

Understanding of safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory considerations relevant to power electronics or EV charging hardware.

Experience with prototyping, hardware validation, reliability testing, and documentation of engineering designs and test procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.

Familiarity with EV charging technologies, power electronics, or energy systems is an advantage.
