:

A cement plant electrician installs, maintains, and repairs industrial high/medium/low voltage systems (HV/MV/LV) to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimal downtime. They specialize in troubleshooting heavy machinery, such as motors, VFDs, transformers, and kiln electrical systems, while adhering strictly to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and repairs on Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Electronic Soft Starters, Control Panels, and DC/AC Drives.

- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose electrical malfunctions in cement production machinery (crushers, mills, kilns) and rectify faults quickly.

- Installation & Upgrades: Install recent electrical components, wiring, and automation systems based on technical blueprints.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to plant safety protocols, ISO standards, and environmental regulations.

- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs,



and electrical consumption.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: High school diploma, technical college degree, or completion of an electrical apprenticeship.

- Experience: 3+ years in an industrial setting, ideally in cement, manufacturing, or heavy machinery industries.

- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of HV/MV/LV systems, PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls.

- Skills: Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

Key Focus Areas for Cement Plants

- Kiln Maintenance: High-temperature kiln electrical systems.

- Automation: Knowledge of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and PLC systems.

- High Voltage: Maintenance of substations and 6.6kv bus panels.
