An Electrical Engineer Maintenance Trainee assists in repairing, inspecting, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational efficiency. They troubleshoot faults, perform preventative maintenance, follow safety protocols, and document technical reports, gaining hands-on experience in PLCs, motor controls, and power systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Assist in executing scheduled maintenance tasks for electrical systems, including high-speed machines, motors, transformers, and switchgears.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Assist in diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic, and, at times, mechanical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, update maintenance records, and document, breakdown analysis reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety codes, regulations (e.g., LOTO), and PPE requirements.
- Spare Parts Management: Help maintain an inventory of electrical components and assist in ordering required parts.
- System Upgrades: Support the installation and commissioning of recent electrical machinery.
