We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, schematic creation, component selection, and development of electrical control panels (MCC, PCC, PLC, and Automation Panels) using SolidWorks Electrical and EPLAN, in strict alignment with customer specifications and industry safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Schematics &
- Drafting:

Design and develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, power/control circuit diagrams, and terminal layouts using SolidWorks Electrical and EPLAN.

- Control Panel Engineering: Prepare comprehensive wiring, schematic, and terminal interconnect diagrams for LT Panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Power Control Centers (PCC), PLC, and VFD Automation Panels.

- Component Selection &

- Sizing:

Select appropriate switchgear and control componentsincluding Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB), contactors, thermal overload relays, PLCs, VFDs, and sensorsbased on application load requirements and safety margins.

- BOM &

- Procurement Support:

Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) with complete part numbers, technical specifications, and vendor details; coordinate closely with the procurement team to ensure timely material procurement.

- Production &

- Shop-Floor Support:





Collaborate with the panel assembly and manufacturing team to ensure precise design implementation, wire harness accuracy, and physical panel layout validation.

- Client &

- Vendor Technical Support:

Engage with clients for design approvals, engineering discussions, queries, and technical clarification meetings.

- Testing &

- Commissioning:

Provide engineering support for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), panel testing, fault troubleshooting, and site commissioning activities when required.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical &
- Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics &
- Communication (ECE), or role similar to Industrial Automation.

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the design of LT control panels, switchgear assemblies, and industrial automation systems , electrical solidworks or EPLAN is must.

- Software Proficiency: SolidWorks Electrical is must. Hands-on knowledge or proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical is a strong advantage.

- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of LT panel design standards (IEC / IS standards), short-circuit protection, control circuit design, and panel manufacturing processes.

- Automation Exposure: Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA integration, control transformers, and sensor wiring.

- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for vendor and client interaction.
