Role Purpose

The Manager – HR Business Analytics is responsible for leveraging people data to drive strategic business decisions through workforce analytics, manpower budgeting, payroll analytics, incentive planning, and business reporting. The role partners closely with HR, Finance, Retail Operations, and Business Leaders to optimise workforce productivity, improve cost efficiencies, and provide actionable insights for organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

HR Analytics & Reporting

- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and scorecards for leadership.
- Analyse key HR metrics including headcount, attrition, hiring, productivity, absenteeism, diversity, employee movement, and employee lifecycle.
- Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual HR MIS reports.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Present workforce trends and people analytics to senior leadership.

Manpower Budgeting & Workforce Planning

- Prepare and manage the annual manpower budget in alignment with business expansion plans.
- Monitor manpower costs against approved budgets and highlight variances.
- Analyse headcount productivity, span of control, and manpower utilisation across functions.
- Support annual operating plan (AOP) and workforce forecasting exercises.
- Partner with Finance and Business teams to optimise manpower costs while ensuring business continuity.

Talent & Performance Analytics

- Analyse recruitment funnel metrics including TAT, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, cost per hire, and quality of hire.
- Evaluate performance management outcomes, goal completion, bell curve distribution, and calibration trends.
- Track learning effectiveness, leadership pipeline, and succession readiness.




- Analyse employee engagement and retention trends to recommend interventions.

Off-roll Payroll Analytics & Governance

- Validate and monitor off-roll payroll for outsourced and contractual workforce.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and vendor billing reconciliation.
- Analyse payroll trends, overtime, attendance, and workforce deployment costs.
- Partner with vendors, HR Operations, and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare payroll analytics reports for leadership review and cost optimisation.

Incentive Planning & Analytics

- Design and administer incentive structures aligned with business objectives.
- Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payouts for eligible employees.
- Validate incentive eligibility based on defined business KPIs and performance metrics.
- Develop incentive models, simulations, and financial impact analyses.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely processing and accurate payout of incentives.
- Continuously review incentive effectiveness and recommend improvements to drive performance.

Business Partnering

- Present workforce and business insights to senior leadership.
- Support HR strategy through evidence-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with Finance on manpower cost analysis and budgeting.
- Partner with Retail Operations to monitor store productivity and staffing efficiency.
- Support strategic projects related to organisational effectiveness and cost optimisation.

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of HR data.
- Standardise HR reporting methodologies and definitions.
- Support internal and statutory audits through accurate HR reporting.
- Establish governance for manpower budgets, payroll validation, and incentive calculations.
