SUD Life Insurance is expanding its Variable Agency Channel across South India and is looking for dynamic insurance professionals to join us as Deputy Zonal Head - Variable Agency Channel.

Position Details

Job Title: Deputy Zonal Head - Variable Agency Channel

Locations: Bangalore

Region to Handle: Karnataka and Goa

Industry: Insurance (Mandatory)

Qualification: Any Graduate

Experience: 10 to 20 years in the Insurance Industry

Team Handling Experience: Minimum 5 years managing Agency Branch Manager teams

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales Management

- Drive branch sales performance and achieve assigned business targets.
- Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Improve productivity, conversion ratios, and retention metrics.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the assigned geography.

2. Agency Recruitment & Distribution Expansion

- Recruit, onboard, and develop Branch Managers, Senior Branch Managers, and Agency Leaders.
- Build and strengthen a sustainable agency distribution network.
- Ensure activation and productivity of newly recruited agency resources.

3. Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Lead, mentor, and coach agency leadership teams.
- Conduct training programs on sales excellence, product knowledge, and compliance.




- Drive performance management through regular reviews and development plans.

4. Customer Relationship Management

- Ensure high standards of customer service and policyholder satisfaction.
- Handle escalations and resolve complex customer concerns.
- Improve customer retention and persistency ratios.

5. Operational & Compliance Management

- Ensure adherence to regulatory, company, and audit guidelines.
- Maintain operational excellence and process compliance.
- Promote quality sales practices and ethical business conduct.

6. Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate effectively with regional leadership and support functions.
- Develop relationships with key partners, business influencers, and local communities.
- Support strategic initiatives and organizational transformation programs.

Eligibility Criteria Experience in Life Insurance is mandatory

Robust agency channel exposure

Proven people management and leadership capabilities

Track record of driving business growth and team productivity
