- Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair heavy sheet metal die mechanisms, including punches, dies, blanking inserts, draw beads, guide pillars/bushes, and cam sliders.

- Troubleshoot Faults: Identify and fix mechanical issues like burr formation, tearing, wrinkling, mismatch alignment, gas spring/cushion failures, and sheet feeding/ejection jams.

- Perform Routine PMs: Execute planned preventive maintenance, including die cleaning, sharpening cutting edges (re-grinding), lubricating wear plates, checking nitrogen gas pressure, and structural safety inspections.

- Tolerance & Precision: Use precision measuring instruments to check critical clearances between punch and die, and log completed repairs, tool modifications, or stroke-count details.

Experience: 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience

Skills





- Robust knowledge of heavy die assembly/disassembly, tool-room bench work (grinding, filing, manual polishing, and blue-matching).

- Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints, 2D tool drawings, and understanding clearance charts for heavy gauge sheet metal.

- Experience handling heavy dies using overhead cranes safely.

Tools: Must have strong proficiency in using tool-room hand tools and precision instruments, including Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Dial Indicators, Portable Grinders, Feeler Gauges (for clearance checks), Torque Wrenches, and Blue-matching pastes.
