About the Role The Mid-Level DevOps Engineer will own end-to-end deployment and operational reliability for client-facing AWS/Azure environments, design and harden CI/CD pipelines, and lead the rollout of automation and intelligent tooling that reduces manual operational effort across the team. This role works closely with engineering, QA, and client stakeholders, and is expected to mentor junior engineers. Job Responsibilities

Design, build, and own CI/CD pipelines across multiple client projects, ensuring quick, safe, and repeatable releases.

Architect and provision cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, etc.) using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

Lead day-to-day operational management of production environments: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

Drive cost optimization and capacity planning across cloud workloads, with regular reporting to stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI-assisted tooling (scripting, agents, LLM-based copilots) to reduce repetitive operational work, and lead implementation of those improvements.

Define and enforce infrastructure, security, and compliance best practices across projects (IAM least-privilege, secrets management, patching, backups).

Mentor junior engineers, review their work, and help them grow technically.

Act as a technical point of contact for client stakeholders during deployment planning, incident escalation, and status reporting.

Own and continuously improve runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational documentation for the team.

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of hands-on experience managing production workloads on AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route53, CloudFront) and/or Azure equivalents.





Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills; working proficiency in Python or Go for automation tooling.

Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) for multiple production services.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS/EKS).

Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security fundamentals.

Experience setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, or similar).

Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting status and trade-offs directly to clients.

Automation & Tooling

Practical experience integrating AI/LLM-based tools or agents into engineering workflows (e.g. automated code review, intelligent alerting, chat-driven operations) is a strong plus.

Experience building internal tools or scripts that automate recurring deployment, reporting, or reconciliation tasks.

Familiarity with secrets management and config management tools (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Ansible). Cloud & Infrastructure

Multi-account/multi-environment AWS architecture experience (dev/staging/prod separation, cross-account IAM).

Experience with high-availability and disaster-recovery design (multi-AZ, backups, failover).

Working knowledge of cost-management tooling (Cost Explorer, budgets/alerts, Reserved Instances/Savings Plans) Leadership & Mindset

Comfortable owning ambiguous problems end to end with minimal supervision.

Strong analytical and incident-response mindset; calm under pressure during production issues.

Genuine interest in evaluating and adopting new tools, including AI-driven ones, to make the team more efficient.





Collaborative approach to mentoring and cross-team coordination.

Academic

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Good to Have

AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certification.

AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent certification.

Experience working in an AWS Partner or consulting environment across multiple concurrent client engagements.

Experience with Kubernetes operators, service mesh, or GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux).
