Role Description The Design Engineer will work on designing and improving cargo handling systems, equipment layouts, and related mechanical or electrical components to support logistics operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing technical drawings and 3D models, preparing design documentation, and collaborating with operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical designs. The role involves analyzing existing systems, recommending enhancements for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, and coordinating with vendors or fabrication teams to ensure accurate implementation.

The Design

Engineer will also participate in testing,



troubleshooting, and optimization of designs, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and company procedures. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for developing and refining logistics-related systems and equipment.

Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise to assess structural integrity, materials, and mechanical performance of designs.

Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to create detailed drawings, models, and technical documentation.

Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge to support designs involving power systems, controls, and basic automation.

Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) and prior experience in design or manufacturing environments are beneficial.

Ability to interpret technical specifications, work with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
