/solid> This is a part-time, remote role for a DBT Therapy Trainer at Thanal. The DBT Therapy Trainer will design and deliver structured training sessions on Dialectical Behavior Therapy for counsellors, therapists, and Interns. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing training materials and manuals, conducting live online workshops, facilitating skills practice sessions, and providing feedback and supervision to trainees.
The trainer will adapt DBT content to diverse learner needs, ensure adherence to DBT principles, and collaborate with the clinical leadership team to maintain training quality and consistency. The role also involves documenting training outcomes, recommending improvements to the curriculum, and staying updated with current DBT research and best practices. Qualifications
Clinical expertise:
Solid grounding in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and other evidence-based psychotherapies, with the ability to teach and model DBT skills clearly and effectively.
Training and facilitation: Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating professional training programs or workshops for mental health practitioners.
Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to engage diverse groups in an online learning environment.
Organization and documentation: Ability to plan curricula, structure sessions, manage schedules, and maintain accurate training records and reports.
Technology and remote work: Comfort using online training platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital learning resources while working independently in a remote setting.
Education and credentials: Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field; formal DBT training or certification is highly preferred.
Professional experience: Prior clinical experience providing DBT-informed therapy or skills groups, and experience supervising or mentoring mental health professionals.
