Role Description The Data Science Faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The faculty member will design and deliver engaging lectures, labs, and workshops on core data science topics, including statistics, machine learning, and data visualization. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course materials, creating assessments, mentoring students on projects, and providing personalized feedback to support learning outcomes.

The role involves collaborating with curriculum designers to update content based on industry trends, participating in placement-focused training initiatives, and contributing to online and offline learning resources.



The faculty member will also engage with students through doubt-clearing sessions, hackathons, and career guidance activities to help them become job-ready.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in data science concepts, including statistics, machine learning, data visualization, and model evaluation.

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and familiarity with relevant libraries and tools.

Experience working with real-world datasets, data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and building end-to-end data science projects.

Ability to design structured curricula, create high-quality teaching materials, and explain complex topics in a clear, practical manner.

Robust communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.

Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience in data science, analytics, or related fields is highly beneficial.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Comfort working in an on-site academic or training environment in Chennai and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of industry expectations for entry-level data science and analytics roles, and an interest in placement-focused training.
