Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, data architecture, and database design, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications.

Gather and analyze business requirements to develop scalable and efficient data models.

Define data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.

Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, developers, and database administrators to implement data solutions.

Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.

Support data governance initiatives by ensuring data quality and consistency.

Perform impact analysis for data model changes and support database migrations.

Work closely with ETL, BI, and analytics teams to enable efficient data integration and reporting.





Ensure compliance with organizational security and data management standards.

Required Skills

Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models).

Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling techniques.

Proficiency in SQL and database design principles.

Experience with one or more databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake.

Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Knowledge of normalization, denormalization, indexing, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Knowledge of Big Data technologies and modern data lake architectures.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with NoSQL databases is an added advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

5–15 years of experience in data modeling, database design, or data architecture.

Relevant certifications in data management or cloud platforms are a plus.
