Role Description The Data Engineer role at Muthoot Finance Ltd.

- India is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru North.

The Data

Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics, reporting, and core business applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing data models, managing data warehousing solutions, ensuring data quality and consistency, and collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. The role also involves monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, improving performance, and adhering to security and compliance standards.

The Data





Engineer will contribute to the organization’s data strategy by recommending tools, best practices, and enhancements to the existing data infrastructure.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including experience building and maintaining data pipelines and working with large-scale data systems.
- Candidates should possess Data Modeling and Data Warehousing skills to design efficient schemas and manage structured data storage for analytics and reporting.
- Candidates should possess Extract Transform Load (ETL) skills to develop, optimize, and monitor ETL workflows across multiple data sources and targets.
- Candidates should possess Data Analytics skills to support reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision making in collaboration with business teams.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Java) is beneficial.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as modern data platforms or cloud services, is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams are expected.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
