This role sits on our India delivery team, working directly with UK-based enterprise clients on live production systems.

Role summary

We're looking for a Data Engineer to build and operate the pipelines and data infrastructure that UK clients' analytics, reporting, and ML/AI teams depend on. This is a core infrastructure role — reliable, well-modelled, well-tested data — not a one-off reporting or dashboard-building role. Key responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines from source systems (databases, APIs, event streams) into client data platforms.
- Own data modelling and schema design in the client’s data warehouse or lakehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- Implement data quality checks and testing so downstream consumers can trust pipeline output without manual verification.
- Build and maintain orchestration for pipeline workflows (Airflow, dbt, Prefect, or equivalent).
- Work directly with data scientists and ML engineers to ensure clean, well-documented data reaches their pipelines on time.
- Manage schema evolution and versioning without breaking downstream consumers.
- Support data governance and lineage tracking so the client can answer "where did this number come from" with confidence.
- Optimise pipeline cost and performance, particularly for high-volume or high-frequency data sources. What we're looking forRequired




- 4-7 years in data engineering, with production ownership of pipelines feeding analytics or ML systems, not just one-off ETL scripts.
- Strong SQL and one of Python or Scala for pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse/lakehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- Experience with a pipeline orchestration tool (Airflow, dbt, Prefect, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of streaming data technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent) where relevant to the client’s architecture.
- Practical data modelling skills — dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions, and schema design trade-offs.
- Excellent written and spoken English — client-facing, no intermediary.
- Comfortable working a 1pm-10pm IST overlap window to align with UK client hours. Nice to have
- Spark or Databricks-specific experience at scale.
- dbt for transformation and testing, with a robust testing discipline.
- Experience with a data catalogue/governance tool (Collibra, Alation, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in telecoms, retail, or financial services data environments. What we offer
