Role Description The Cyber Security Trainer is a part time remote role responsible for designing and delivering engaging cybersecurity training programs for learners at various skill levels. Day-to-day activities include developing course materials, creating practical labs and assessments, and conducting live online classes or recorded sessions focused on modern cybersecurity practices. The trainer will explain complex technical concepts in accessible language, guide learners through hands-on exercises, and provide constructive feedback on assignments and projects.

Additional responsibilities include updating content to reflect current threats and best practices, collaborating with internal teams to improve curricula,



and supporting learners through Q&A; sessions, mentoring, and periodic evaluations.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to teach core principles and frameworks.

- Hands-on expertise in Network Security, including secure network design, monitoring, and incident response.

- Proficiency in Application Security, with familiarity in secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and common application threats.

- Experience in Malware Analysis, including basic reverse engineering concepts, threat identification, and mitigation strategies.

- Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in technical subjects, with clear communication and presentation skills.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or similar) and a strong understanding of industry standards and compliance frameworks.

- Ability to create structured learning content, hands-on labs, and assessments tailored to different experience levels.

- Comfort working remotely, managing virtual classrooms, and using online learning platforms and collaboration tools.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
