Security Operations Intern (SOC)
₹7,500/month · Hybrid (3 days onsite — R Block, Room 1417 · 3 days remote) · 2–3 months
LockIN is a live production app — real users, real auth, real APIs, real attack surface. We've completed a 21-issue security audit. Now we need someone obsessed with keeping it locked down.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (2nd or 3rd year preferred)
CGPA 7.0+ preferred — not a hard cutoff, but a signal of fundamentals
Working knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS
Understands core web vulnerabilities: SQLi, XSS, CSRF, IDOR, broken auth
Can read and interpret server logs, HTTP request/response cycles
Basic Linux command line proficiency
Can write basic Python or Bash scripts to automate simple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
CTF participation — even beginner-level platforms like TryHackMe, HackTheBox, PicoCTF
Exposure to OWASP Top 10 in a practical context
Familiarity with tools: Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, or equivalent
Security-adjacent coursework, certifications, or self-study (Security+, CEH, eJPT)
Has documented a vulnerability, lab setup, or CTF writeup publicly
Basic cloud exposure: AWS/GCP/Azure IAM, audit logs
What You'll Work On
→ Monitor production logs (Render + Sentry) for anomalies and suspicious activity
→ Review API endpoints for auth flaws, rate limit bypasses, and injection vectors
→ Harden our Node.js + PostgreSQL backend — headers, CORS, token hygiene
→ Run authorized penetration tests against our own app
→ Document findings with reproduction steps and suggested fixes
→ Maintain a vulnerability tracker and contribute to our internal security runbook
What You Will Not Do
→ Make coffee
→ Shadow someone and take notes for 3 months
→ Work on "training modules" instead of the actual product
