- Responsible for cost estimation, customized proposal development, and tender submissions.

- Works closely with Design, Supply Chain, Services, Production, Assembly teams.

- Ensures timely and accurate costing and manages enquiry systems.

- Supports private & government tenders and contributes to profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze enquiries, decide inhouse vs subcontracting.

- Interact with customers to clarify requirements.

- Prepare competitive proposals with cost justifications.

- Monitor domestic & international cost factors (currency, inputs).

- Maintain repository of past proposals for reuse.

- Support negotiations and train junior team members.

Skills & Knowledge

- Solid English communication + presentation skills.





- SAP operational knowledge mandatory.

- MS Office proficiency; Excel for cost modelling.

- Ability to understand Hindi.

- Familiarity with costing tools, supply chain analytics, and tendering processes.

Experience

- Manager level: 10+ years in capital goods industry.

- Engineer/Sr. Engineer level: 3-6 years.

- Proven exposure to EngineeredToOrder (ETO) products (gearboxes, pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.).

- Track record in private & government tenders.

Qualification

- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
