Where Is The Work

On-Site (5 days) Responsibilities A Senior Service Engineer role at Trane typically focuses on advanced technical support, service execution, and customer-facing engineering work for HVAC and related systems. Exact responsibilities can vary by region, business unit, and job posting, but it often includes: Leading installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC equipment and building systems

Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues

Supporting customers, service teams, and field technicians with technical expertise





Performing system performance evaluations and recommending corrective actions

Coordinating service projects, repairs, and upgrades

Ensuring compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and customer requirements

Preparing technical reports, service documentation, and recommendations

Collaborating with sales, operations, and engineering teams

Mentoring junior engineers or technicians in some roles Common Qualifications Often Include Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or related engineering field

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, controls, refrigeration, and service practices
