Position: Contracts & Applications Engineer

Reporting To: Contracts & Applications Manager

Location: Balewadi, Pune

Position Summary The Contracts & Applications Engineer is responsible for managing techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and application engineering activities for international customers. The role involves analyzing customer requirements, preparing competitive bids, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring smooth handover of orders for execution.

The ideal candidate will possess solid technical aptitude, commercial awareness, and experience in handling RFQs, preferably within the valves, flow control, process equipment, or industrial engineering industry.

Education

- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Production, or related Engineering.

Experience
- 25 years in Proposal Engineering, Application Engineering, Contracts, Bid

Management, or Sales Support.
- Experience in Industrial Valves, Flow Control, Process Industries, or Export Projects

preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage RFQs, techno-commercial proposals, and quotations from enquiry to order.
- Review customer specifications, datasheets, drawings, standards, and commercial

requirements.
- Prepare pricing, cost estimates, and commercial offers.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, EPCs, and internal teams.
- Review contracts, tenders, purchase orders, and identify commercial/technical risks.




- Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Process orders, prepare order handover documentation, and support project execution.
- Maintain project records, MIS reports, forecasts, and bid tracking.

Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Industrial Valves, Actuators, and Flow Control Systems.
- Ability to interpret specifications, datasheets, drawings, and P&IDs.;
- Familiarity with commercial and contractual terms.
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/CRM knowledge preferred.

Preferred Profile
- Experience with valve manufacturers, distributors, or process industry equipment

suppliers.
- Exposure to EPC customers and industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power,

Water, and Process Industries.
