The Global Voice

India

We are building The Global Voice, an independent geopolitics media house that covers the world from an Indian perspective. We need writers who can do two things well at the same time: understand the world deeply and explain it. If you live and breathe current affairs, geopolitics, and history, and you know how to turn that into content that ranks and gets read, we want to hear from you. THE ROLE

This is an in-office writing and research role at a geopolitics media house. You will be producing a high volume of original articles, analysis pieces, newsletter content, and dispatches daily. You will use AI to work faster, but your understanding of the subject is what makes the output worth reading.

Nobody wants AI that pretends to be a journalist. We want a journalist who uses AI like a pro. Since there's no way to share links through this application, add links to your published work directly in your resume before applying.

Applications without proof of work will not be considered.

SALARY: 3.6 LPA

Immediate joining in Goa WHAT YOU WILL DO

Research and write original articles, analysis pieces, and newsletter content on geopolitics, international relations, diplomacy, conflict, economy, and history

Cover all major regions including South Asia, Middle East, East Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas with the Indian lens front and centre

Use AI tools like Claude, Perplexity, and ChatGPT to accelerate research and drafting. The expectation is high volume, high quality.

Optimise every piece for Google search and AI discovery tools. Content that nobody finds is content that does not exist.

Pitch story ideas. You are expected to spot what is worth covering, not wait to be told.

Meet daily deadlines. without being followed up.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

At least 4 years of industry experience, and you read Foreign Affairs, The Economist, or equivalent. Not because your job requires it. Because you love it.

You know current affairs, geopolitics, and history well enough to write about them with authority and a genuine point of view.

You can produce multiple well-researched, well-written pieces in a day using AI as your production engine.

You understand SEO and how content surfaces in AI-powered tools like Perplexity and ChatGPT. Not surface-level understanding. Real, applied knowledge.

You have proof of work. Published articles, newsletters, substacks, anything that shows you can write about complex subjects clearly.

You can join us in Goa immediately.

WHO WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR

People who use AI to copy-paste and call it writing

People who are getting into geopolitics. We need people who are already in it.

People who need a lot of hand-holding to figure out what to write next

People who treat deadlines as suggestions 30 DAYS IN

You're publishing daily without being chased for it. Your AI workflow is running smoothly enough that it's saving you real time, not just adding a step. You've pitched at least a few stories that made it to publish as-is or with light edits. Deadlines are a non-issue at this point, not something anyone's tracking for you. 60 DAYS IN

Some of your pieces are ranking on Google or turning up in AI search tools. Your byline is starting to mean something, readers recognise your name and come back for it. You can point to specific pieces and the traffic or engagement they pulled in. You're one of the people shaping how TGV actually sounds, not just filling a slot on the calendar.
