Content Editor Maria Publishers Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Content Editor to join our agile team The ideal candidate will be a meticulous and creative professional with a strong command of the English language and a passion for high-quality content This role is crucial for ensuring that all published material meets our rigorous standards for accuracy clarity and engagement Key Responsibilities Editing Proofreading Review edit and proofread manuscripts and other content to correct grammar spelling punctuation and syntax errors Ensure consistency in style tone and formatting across all publications Content Development Collaborate with authors and internal teams to improve the structure flow and overall quality of content Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers to enhance their work Fact-Checking Research Verify the accuracy of information data and references in non-fiction and academic publications Conduct additional research as needed to ensure the content is current and credible Adherence to Standards Enforce the company s in-house style guide and editorial policies Ensure all content complies with copyright and plagiarism laws Project Management Manage multiple editorial projects simultaneously from manuscript submission to final publication Work with a keen eye on deadlines and coordinate with designers marketing and production teams to ensure timely delivery Strategic Input Contribute to content strategy by providing current ideas analyzing readership data and helping to shape the editorial direction of our publications Qualifications Education A bachelor s degree in English Journalism Communications or a related field is required Experience A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as an editor preferably within a publishing house or a similar content-heavy environment Skills Exceptional writing editing and proofreading skills with an eagle-eye for detail Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and publishing software Strong understanding of editorial processes and publishing best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and authors Robust organizational and time-management abilities to handle a busy workload Job Type Full-time Pay 12 352 18 - 42 686 27 per month Benefits Health insurance Leave encashment Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
