JD: Consultant - Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide consultant-level care for critically ill paediatric patients admitted to the PICU.
- Lead daily ward rounds and ensure timely, secure, and effective clinical decision-making.
- Manage advanced life support, invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and organ support therapies.
- Respond to emergencies, including paediatric resuscitation and rapid response calls.
- Ensure appropriate admission, transfer, and discharge of PICU patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients families, providing clear explanations and compassionate support.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 4-15 years of experience working in a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Medical degree from an accredited institution (MS/MD - Paediatrics or Fellowship in Paediatric Intensive Care).
- Strong knowledge of paediatric critical care medicine principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
