- Lead end-to-end development of Electrical & Electronic (E&E;) components, including wiring harnesses, dual fan systems, and other automotive electrical aggregates.
- Manage the complete product development lifecycle from concept to production.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and program management teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop suppliers for new product development.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments and drive supplier development initiatives.
- Establish strategic supplier partnerships to support long-term business objectives.
- Estimate, negotiate, and finalize part costs, tooling costs, and development costs.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), localization, and alternate sourcing strategies.
- Support project execution while ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets.
- Monitor project timelines, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure suppliers consistently meet automotive quality standards and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate production capacity planning with suppliers to meet annual volume requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for supplier-related technical and commercial matters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech)
in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related discipline.
- Experience in the Automotive industry is mandatory; Electric Vehicle (EV) industry experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in Electrical & Electronic commodity management and automotive component development.
- Knowledge of wiring harnesses, automotive electrical systems, and supplier development.
- Expertise in supplier identification, evaluation, and performance management.
- Robust commercial negotiation skills with experience in cost estimation and contract finalization.
- Hands-on experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), localization, and cost optimization.
- Good understanding of automotive quality standards and New Product Development (NPD) processes.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
