Job Summary The CMM Inspector is responsible for inspecting precision-machined components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and conventional measuring instruments to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T; requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards. The role includes CMM operation, inspection reporting, calibration support, and maintaining quality records.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect machined components.

- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM and conventional measuring instruments.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; symbols, and customer specifications.

- Load and execute CMM programs and make minor program modifications, where authorized.

- Verify dimensions, geometrical tolerances, and surface quality of components.

- Prepare and maintain CMM inspection reports and quality records.

- Identify non-conforming products and report deviations to the Quality Supervisor.

- Ensure measuring instruments and CMM equipment are calibrated and maintained.

- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

- Support First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and customer inspection requirements.





- Maintain inspection records in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).

- Follow 5S practices, safety procedures, and company quality standards.

Qualifications

- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent.

- Certification or training in CMM operation is preferred.

- Knowledge of GD&T; (ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS) is an added advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in CMM inspection within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.

- Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS,HEXAGON is preferred.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;

- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and surface roughness testers.

- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

- Ability to analyze inspection results and prepare accurate reports.

- Positive problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹52,230.36 per month
