Role Description The Clinical Governance Lead is a full-time, remote role responsible for ensuring that Wouch’s assessments, insights, and user journeys remain clinically sound, trauma-informed, and ethically designed. This role oversees the development, review, and continuous improvement of psychological frameworks, protocols, and content used on the platform, ensuring they align with evidence-based practice and relevant regulatory and ethical standards.

The Clinical Governance

Lead collaborates closely with product, content, research, and technology teams to embed clinical safeguards, user protection measures, and quality controls across features and interventions. Day-to-day tasks include leading clinical risk assessments, defining governance policies, supervising or advising any clinical contributors, auditing user-facing materials for accuracy and safety,



and advising on data handling and escalation pathways for users in distress. The role also involves monitoring clinical outcomes and feedback, guiding research initiatives, and contributing to strategic decisions that impact user wellbeing and relationship readiness.

Qualifications

Advanced clinical background, such as a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatry, or a related mental health field; relevant licensure or registration is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed practice, relationship psychology, attachment theory, or mental wellbeing, with experience translating clinical concepts into accessible, non-clinical language.

Experience in clinical governance, quality assurance, or clinical leadership, including creating policies, protocols, risk management frameworks, and ethical guidelines for digital or mental health services.

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (product, design, content, data, engineering) to embed clinical and ethical standards into digital products and user experiences.

Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to review evidence, interpret data, and use insights to refine clinical frameworks and user safety measures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and clearly about complex psychological topics to diverse audiences.

Experience in digital health, mental health apps, or technology-enabled wellbeing products is highly beneficial, along with familiarity with privacy, safeguarding, and relevant regulatory considerations.
