Reaxys Experience Mandatory | Remote Freelance Opportunity

Scholastika Knowledge Base Pvt. Ltd. is hiring Chemistry Subject Matter Experts for an AI-response evaluation project supporting a global education and knowledge-services organisation.

The selected experts will evaluate AI-generated scientific responses for accuracy, completeness, relevance and educational value.

This is not a general content-writing, data-annotation or entry-level chemistry role. It requires a completed PhD, an established research background and practical experience using Reaxys.

Priority chemistry disciplines The client already has a strong pool of Organic and Medicinal Chemistry experts. We are therefore prioritising candidates from the following areas:

Materials Chemistry

Inorganic Chemistry

Bio-inorganic Chemistry

Process Chemistry

Industrial Chemistry

Battery Chemistry

Electrochemistry

Energy Storage Materials

Paint and Coatings Chemistry

Polymer Chemistry

Surface Chemistry

Chemical Process Development

Candidates from Organic, Medicinal or Pharmaceutical Chemistry may also apply, provided they meet all mandatory requirements. However, priority will be given to the disciplines listed above.

Mandatory eligibility requirements

Candidates must meet all the following requirements:

Completed PhD in Chemistry or a closely related chemical-sciences discipline

Minimum two years of skilled or research experience after completion of the PhD

Current or recent involvement in scientific, academic or industrial research

Demonstrable hands-on experience using Reaxys

Currently based in India

Robust written English

Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week

Reaxys experience is non-negotiable. Applications without practical Reaxys experience will not be considered.

Primary responsibilities

Evaluate AI-generated responses across chemistry and related scientific topics

Assess responses for scientific accuracy, completeness, relevance and educational utility

Verify chemical reactions, structures, properties, synthesis pathways and scientific claims

Use Reaxys and other authoritative scientific sources to validate information

Identify factual errors, unsupported conclusions, missing context and misleading statements

Review whether content is appropriate for the intended academic or professional audience

Apply defined evaluation criteria and scoring rubrics consistently

Provide explicit, evidence-based feedback on response quality

Critically assess references, reaction data and chemical literature

Complete asynchronous evaluation assignments within specified deadlines

Participate in quarterly evaluation cycles and ad-hoc assessment projects

Maintain accuracy, confidentiality and consistency throughout the project

Engagement details

Work mode: Fully remote

Location eligibility: India

Engagement type: Freelance contract

Minimum availability: 10 hours per week

Project duration: Through December 2026

Schedule: Asynchronous

Assignment timelines: Generally five days to two weeks, depending on workload

Evaluation cycles: Quarterly, with possible ad-hoc assignments

Extension: Possible, subject to project requirements and performance
